I did it - I signed up officially to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). For those who aren't aware, November is National Novel Writing Month and I have decided to participate this year and write a (gulp) 50,000 word novel during the month of November. Or at least attempt it, we'll see how it goes.
My sister-in-law is the one who told me about it. She participated last year and successfully wrote over 50,000 words (yea, Laura!). When I saw her this summer, we talked about it some more and she encouraged me to do it, so here I am, wondering what exactly I have done by taking on a challenge like this. I think I must be crazy - November has a lot going on - but I guess I could say that about almost every month and never accomplish anything. No guts, no glory, right?
I'm more than a little nervous since I have not a clue what I want my novel to be about, but now that I'm all official and everything, I guess I better start thinking about it. I'm open to suggestions...
I would LOVE to do that! I don't think I have the "guts" though. Good Luck!! I came across a story you wrote sometime ago when I was going through some of Gma's stuff. I believe it was set in WWII??
ReplyDeleteI love it Ang!! And a little jealous! I might have to take a stab at that someday. :D Yaay! Can we pre-order copies?
