Whoo-hoo! I am so excited! We are finally going...this weekend we are driving up to South Carolina to visit my younger brother (I'd say "little", but since he's way taller than me, that would be somewhat inaccurate), who is going through nuclear engineering training with the Navy(yeah, he's a smarty-pants). We were supposed to have made the trip Labor Day weekend but that fell through at the last minute and I was so disappointed. But it also means that I've been looking forward to when we could go, which, as it turns out, was sooner than I expected.
So, since we are leaving tomorrow and it was only decided for sure last night, that leaves me one day - today - to get ready. This will be an interesting experiment, since I usually have way too much time to think about all that needs to be done to go on a road trip and all that thinking exhausts me before we even leave. Any bets that I can still make me and everyone around me crazy even with the shortened time frame? We'll only be gone for 3 days, so we'll just be sticking to the basics - cleaning the car, arranging a pet sitter, making hotel reservations, and packing. None of which will get done if I'm on the computer blogging, so off I go...details to follow next week...
