I'm going to be teaching a writing class starting next week. I'm really excited about it - my kids are less than enthusiastic...right now. I think they will be pleasantly surprised. I'm using the Institute for Excellence in Writing curriculum and I have to say I LOVE IT! I think the kids will like it too once we get into it.
When I first floated the idea to our homeschool group a couple months ago, I got a few responses, so decided to do it. When I actually set it up, all of a sudden I have a class of 13 (including my 3) which is about twice as many as I anticipated. And here's the really funny part - at least 3 of the families have the same curriculum but just haven't been able to fit it in. So they are all very happy to let me do it.
So I'll see how this first 8 weeks goes and if enough want to continue another 8 weeks, then we will. Tuesday is the first day so I hope it goes as well as I envision it in my head.
